I realize that everyone that comes to this blog is looking for Charlie updates/pics/videos, but I have a little tidbit I'd like to share slightly off subject...
Let me start by saying...this being a Mom business has been a little rough lately. Charlie is teething and not sleeping well. I'm slightly stressed/nervous about his development (not standing or playing on tummy at all). I'm constantly thinking about his head, how soon the helmet will be off, how can I stop his head from itching? We recently started baby food which has added a whole new sequence of to do's in my day. But, even after all that, I lay in bed at night and thank God for the blessing of being a mother, of having this perfect child He made inside me. I am in awe of His plan for my life. For all the mothers out there...in honor of upcoming Mother's Day...here is an excerpt from an article I read recently about the bond between baby and mother...
"A single-cell embryo divides only fifty times to become one hundred trillion cells, which is more than all the stars in the Milky Way galaxy. Once your baby is born, all the cells in both of your bodies act in secret synchronicity to create those simple but incredible connections between the two of you. But despite all of the science involved, it's the power of your love-pure and simple-that can protect your child from illness, shape his future relationships, and rearrange his genes to his benefit. In a year or so, when you kiss your toddler's boo-boo better, he'll think you're magical. And the truth is, you are."
Beautiful.
P.S. - For all the Charlie fans...stay tuned for and update/pic/video post...once I get the cameras uploaded.

Happy (Belated) 6 Months Charlie!!
Yes I realize that I am 12 days late on this, but Charlie keeps me busy you know?! I wanted to take a few minutes to look back at the past six months. He has grown and change so much...learned so much...and become a part of our hearts. He is such a blessing and we thank God every day for him. Here is a look back at how he has grown...
Sorry it's so small...couldn't get it any bigger.

Accountant in training!
I sat down today to do a few tax returns for family while Charlie was napping. Well...he woke up so I brought him in the office here at home and sat him in the other chair. Then, of course I had to take a few pictures :)
Here is Charlie "helping" me prepare a few tax returns!
For those of you with Facebook, please check out my photo album for Aunt Melaina's full narration of the scene :)

Charlie's first Easter!
This post was going to just be about Charlie's first Easter, but then I realized I have a bunch more pictures I wanted to post...but we'll start with Easter :)
Here we are about to leave for church on Easter Sunday!
Also, this weekend we got to hang out with Charlie's good friend Drew Lovelace. Here they are having fun...along with Sophie of course!
I swear Melissa and I where the same color almost every time we see each other haha.
Now on to Charlie's latest events. We are currently working on sitting up by himself, as well as rolling both ways from tummy to back (he only rolls to his left now), rolling from back to tummy (he is really not into this...I mean he just realized he can get out of tummy time by rolling) and jumping/standing on his feet (also, not so much into this, but we are working on it). Here are a few pics of practice sitting...

Another new thing, Charlie got a new helmet. It's kind of a long story, but in short...the first one was done wrong, so they rescanned his head and we got the new one this week. It fits him SO much better than the last one (the last one was really bothering his ears, but this one doesn't even touch them). We are a little annoyed about the whole thing, but we are already seeing improvement on the back of his head so we are pretty excited about that! On a side note, when we went to church on Easter I didn't put his helmet on just for church and one of our friends (who doesn't know about the whole helmet thing) was like oh he is so cute...he has a really nice head...so proportionate...hahaha...if he only knew how ironic! I thought to myself...thanks we've been working on that! Here is a picture of the new helmet. I ordered new stickers which I think come today. The name on the front will be the same, but I changed the back a little. Once I get them on I will post pictures.
Let's see...what else...oh the fingers! He doesn't have any teeth coming in yet, but man does he love to chew his fingers!! Here are a few examples.
Also, in this one you can kind of see his eye color. They have a rim of dark blue still, but are mainly greenish/brownish now. Sometimes it depends on what he is wearing, but they definitely are not blue anymore.
And finally, I'll close with a few of my favorite pics. He is SO smiley now and loves to talk and he is laughing more and more. It is such a joy to have him in my life!!
